In honor of International Women’s Day (#IWD2019) this Friday, March 8, 2019, I want to invite and encourage each of you to recognize the strong women leaders and business owners in your network (some of whom may be WBENC members like me).
I was blessed to have founded S.J. Gorowitz Accounting & Tax Services over 27 years ago and have since realized success by surrounding myself with smart, committed, professional women who share my passion for supporting one another.
Each year I choose to celebrate International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month in recognition of all of the women who have helped me along the way.
This year I also want to call your attention to the great work being done by the IWD initiative that dates back to 1911. This year they have adopted the campaign theme #BalanceforBetter noting: 
“Balance is not a women’s issue, it’s a business issue. The race is on for the gender-balanced boardroom, a gender-balanced government, gender-balanced media coverage…”
I’d like to invite you to celebrate International Women’s Day by:
Motivating others
Recognize the contributions of professional women in your life by reaching out to them personally or via social and giving them shout outs, attaboys or testimonials.
